CVHS Re-take PolicyCarnegie Vanguard High School’s policy regarding Senate Bill 2033:
“Allow a student a reasonable opportunity to retake or redo a class assignment or examination for which the student received a failing grade.”
The starting value of a retake is 70 not 100. Incorrect answers will be deducted from 70.
Only one retake allowed.
The highest grade between the original and the retake is counted.
The student, not the parent, must request retake in writing (no emails or faxes) within 24hrs from the moment the original grade is received.
Retake window determined by teacher, not to exceed 7 calendar days.
Missing assignments fall under teacher’s late policy not campus retake policy.
